We just received official confirmation from our management company that the A/C is now on! Please note that it will take a few hours to cool down. If you need your lines bled, please call the on-site office (703-437-1144) and leave a message for Fransisco. He will call you back to schedule. Thanks for your patience and understanding! Do you need your lines "bled"? Bleeding the lines is usually performed when cool air is not coming out of your air handler which is most likely due to an air bubble in your lines. We do know that it will take a little time for the air coming into units to cool down. If your air is still not cool by tonight and you think there may be an issue, you can call the office to have your lines "bled".

Due to the nature of our heating/air conditioning system, it takes a few days to switch from heat to AC. The switchover process started on the 1st as scheduled and air conditioning should be available by May 4, if not within the next 24 hours. We will post updates as they become available.

Residents: If you have not done so already, this is a reminder to pick up your parking passes from the main office (on the side of building 11252). The office is open tonight until 8pm, tomorrow (Friday) from 9am - 5pm and Saturday from 9am - 1pm. Spring and Fall permits will be honored through November 10th. After the 10th only Fall permits will be recognized and any automobile without the Fall permit will be towed.

Parking decals for both Fall and Spring will be valid until May 10. After May 10, only Spring parking decals will be honored. If you have not applied for parking, you should do so immediately! Contact the parking committee at parking@chestnutgrovecondo.com with any questions.

Our trash disposal company has switched our bulk trash pickup day, again, to Fridays. Trash should be placed on the curb only on Thursday nights after 5pm and before 7am Friday morning.

There have also been reports from Fairfax Co regarding dog waste on the property. Per Fairfax County law and our rules, please pick up after your pet. Violators will be dealt with on a case by case basis by Chestnut Grove, Fairfax County or both.

Our trash disposal company has switched our bulk trash pickup day to Mondays. Trash should be placed on the curb only on Sunday nights after 5pm and before 7am Monday morning. Bulk items consist of those larger items such as furniture. Appliances such as dishwashers, stoves, refrigerators, etc. are not permitted and must be disposed of at the owner's own expense. Let's keep our neighborhood beautiful!

Fall parking passes are valid at this time. Don't forget to put your parking stickers in your vehicles!

Spring parking passes are valid until November 15. Fall parking applications are being processed by the parking committee and passes will be issued by November 8.

The Board of Directors will be discussing the 2011 budget at their regular monthly meeting which is this Thursday the 14th of October at 7pm.

The switch from A/C to heat is scheduled for October 15.

All committee meetings from this point forward will be on an as needed basis. Committee members are encouraged to request a monthly meeting time with the corresponding committee chairs when needed. Committee chairs will also be holding monthly meetings as needed which will be announced to all committee members personally (usually via email), and additionally on the web and on facebook for other owners.
